Want to Rent Fields at Onion Creek Soccer Complex?

The Austin Men’s Soccer Association (AMSA) proudly serves as the steward of the Onion Creek Soccer Complex (OCSC). Our goal is to make these premier grass fields available to the broader community while maintaining a very high standard of field quality, safety, and long-term sustainability.

Whether you’re hosting league play, a tournament, a camp, or a special event, we welcome inquiries and are happy to work with you to determine availability and fit.

How to Request a Field Rental

To start the rental process, please submit the following:

• Organization / Group Name and primary contact information (Name, Phone Number, Email)
• Brief description of rental needs
• Number of fields requested
• Requested date(s) (Fields are typically available on Saturdays, with weekday availability considered based on field conditions and operational discretion)
• Sport and type of event (league play, tournament, practice/training, camp, etc.)
• Estimated number of participants and/or attendees

Each request is reviewed individually to ensure compatibility with field conditions, City guidelines, and existing complex use.

Important Use Guidelines

To protect the fields and ensure compliance, please note the following:

• Approved Sports & Events
  OCSC primarily supports soccer but will consider other sports-related uses and special events — provided they align with maintaining appropriate field conditions. All requests are evaluated with turf preservation as a priority.
• Drones & Aerial Footage
  Drone usage may be permitted if the operator is FAA-licensed, properly insured, and fully compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations. Drone use must be disclosed in advance and scheduled through AMSA field management as part of the event review process.
• Practices & Training Sessions
  Practice and training rentals are permitted and are reviewed under the same criteria as other field uses, with consideration given to field wear, timing, and overall impact.
• Prohibited Activities
  The following activities are not permitted at OCSC under City of Austin Park Rules: hitting golf balls, paragliding, use of metal detectors, and unauthorized aircraft operations.
• Hours of Operation
  Field use is generally limited to 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, unless otherwise approved in writing.
• Seasonal Closure
  OCSC is closed annually from late November / early December through mid January to protect the fields during dormancy and early growth. Field rentals are not available during this period.
• Dog Policy
  Dogs are subject to City of Austin Park Rules and must be leashed and controlled at all times.

General Provisions

Turn-Key Operations

All rental fees include opening and closing the complex, placement of nets and flags, and garbage service at each rented field. Field use is governed by the AMSA Onion Creek Soccer Complex Field Use Policy.

Priority of Use

Field availability is subject to the Priority of Use outlined in the AMSA Field Use Policy.

Advance Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of reservation.
• For full-complex rentals, 50% is due at booking, with the balance due per agreement.
• Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• More than 30 days’ notice: 20% withheld
• 15–30 days’ notice: 50% withheld
• Fewer than 15 days’ notice: 100% withheld

If AMSA is able to re-rent the fields for the same time period, AMSA may refund all but 20% of the original rental fee. AMSA may also issue credits for future rentals at its discretion.

Weather & Field Conditions

If AMSA determines that weather or field conditions make play unsafe or damaging:

• AMSA may cancel and issue a full refund or credit, or
• The renter may cancel with AMSA approval, with a full refund or credit issued.

Field Care & Damage

Renters are responsible for all participants and attendees. Damage to fields, unauthorized goal movement, or unauthorized vehicle access may result in forfeiture of deposits and additional charges, including deductions from future rental payments.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• The fields cannot be rented or used for baseball, softball, kickball, rugby, American football, or concerts, due to the potential for damage to the grass.
• Hitting golf balls, paragliding, the use of metal detectors, and flying of remote-control aircraft (including drones) are not allowed at OCSC, per City of Austin Park Rules.
• The fields cannot be rented or used for practice/training sessions.
• The fields are only available for use from 8 AM to 6 PM.
• OCSC is closed each season for winter break (late November/early December) through early-February, while the grass is in dormancy and then in its early growing stage. Fields cannot be rented during this period.
• Field rental payments must be made by check, cashiers check, or money order.
